We went to the Broadway musical Hairspray. This was definatley one of the hightlights of the trip. Amazing show!

Lunch at the Boathouse in Central Park. My mom was in love with our waiter (ha ha ha!)

for my 30th birthday my mom, aunt, and i took a girls trip to new york city. we had such a good time. we did everything that you can possibly imagine. we took in all the sights and walked as far as our legs could carry us. it was a very enjoyable week, and i will forever cherish the memories :)

4th of july

we had our annual block party on 4th of july. we rented a bounce house waterslide, bbq'd, and watched fireworks. the boys had fun playing outside ALL day!

swimming lessons

the boys are taking swimming lessons every day for four weeks this summer. it's nice cause the pool is right down the street from our house, so we walk down there every morning. the boys are such great swimmers. isaiah is in a higher level learning to do the different strokes. tanner is learning free style and is doing great. smooshie is in level one and is by far the youngest in his class. he is 2 1/2 and most the kids in his class are 4 or 5. he is such a little fish and is swimming great. he just needs to learn to lift his head up for air :) every friday is 'diving board' day. it is definatley the high light of their week :) i am so proud of all of them. they are all doing awesome!

Pirates of the Carribean 3

We went to see Pirates of the Carribean 3 at the El Capitan theater in Hollywood. We took Tanner and Isaiah and went with the Sullivan family. Isaiah dressed up as Will Turner, Tanner dressed up like Jack Sparrow,and Daphne and Gretta dressed up like Elizabeth. It was really cool, the whole theater was decorated in a Pirate theme and they had costumes from the movie on display. After the movie we ate dinner at Mel's diner in Hollywood and then headed to Westwood for Didi Reese ice cream sandwiches. It was a great night.

Isaiah's last week of first grade

Isaiah is now officaly done with 1st grade. I can't believe how old he is getting. He did a great job in first grade and his teacher had nothing but praises for him. He is an amazing little boy with an incredible heart . We are so proud of him and we love him very much.

john mayer concert at hollywood bowl

Seth, Shane, Katie, and I went to the John Mayer concert at Hollywood Bowl. It was so awesome, he was amazing. There are not many concerts that sound better then the cd, but he was that good.

Fun times at the river

We went to the river this past weekend with some good friends of ours (stice's, carlson's and pietras'). Between all four families there were 7 boys and 1 girl. The boys had so much fun. Tanner and Isaiah each caught their first fish which they were really proud of. Seth got to go wakeboarding and we all got to drive the sea doo. I enjoyed laying out catching up on my People magazine and spending time with good friends. It was a great weekend!

Tanner finished his first year of preschool.

Tanner finished his first year of pre-school on Thursday May31st. He loved his teacher Mrs. B. Tanner is so smart and made a lot of good friends. One more year of preschool and then he will go to kindergarten. I don't know if I am ready for that !!??? They are just growing to fast.

my kids are so creative :) today they were trying to decide what to play, so isaiah made tanner this costume :) tanner ofcourse does whatever isaiah says so he put it on. he looked so cute. he was trying to watch tv like this and could barely see over the bag. they rule!!!

the boys finally got to meet micah. they were so excited. they weren't allowed in the hospital on the day that katie delivered, so they had to wait a whole week to meet their cousin.

every month isaiah's school has spirit day. this month the them was "70's". isaiah looked so awesome.

Today my sister katie had her baby. It was so cool cause she didn't know what she was having. We are so excited to add another boy to our family :).......Poor Katie had a very long induction and labor that lasted 36 hours. We went to the hospital on Friday because she was going to be induced at 2pm. They sent her home cause the hospital was too full and told her to call back at 6pm. Shane (her husband) called back at 5:45 and they told her they were still full and to call back at 8pm. At 8 he calls again and they tell him to call back at 11pm. By now Katie is really tired and anxious and just wants to go to bed. At 11pm he calls and they tell him to bring her in at 12am to begin the induction. Instead of putting her on pitocin right away they gave her cervidal (sp?) which is a suppository that they insert into the cervix. They put it into her at 4am saturday morning. They said she needed to leave it in for 12 hours before they would start the pitocin. All day saturday nothing was happening. No contractions and no dilation. At 4pm they took our the cervidal and at 5pm they started the pitocin. We went to visit her at 11pm Saturday night and still nothing. Poor Katie was so dissapointed. Every ten minutes they would up her pitocin, and she was feeling nothing. At 4am Sunday morning (today) she started to feel contractions coming on. She started too also feel sick so she knew she was probably starting labor. By 9 am she was ready for her epidural and at 12:29pm Micah John as born :) Katie only pushed for like 15 minutes, she did such a great job. So after 36 hours of laying in that uncomfortable labor and delivery bed she was now holding her precious little boy.

Easter Fun at Aunt Katie and Uncle Shane's House

Aunt Katie's and Uncle Shane's house is so much fun.

Easter

We had really great Easter this year. Not that we don't always have a good one, but this year we got to spend it with both sides of the family. Usually we only get to see Seth's side. But since Katie and Shane now live in Wildomar and Seth's family is in Temecula we were able to do both. Yeah! We started the day off by going to Seth's sister's church Rancho Community. Then we went back to her house for some food and our easter egg hunt. Seth's sister also has three boys so it is always really fun. Later in the afternoon we headed over to Katie and Shane's house where we ate a great dinner and did another easter egg hunt with the boys.

MOPS easter egg hunt

every year at MOPS we do a huge easter egg hunt at cedar grove park in tustin. this year both friday mops and thursday mops came. it was so much fun. the boys look forward to this every year. don't you just love hayden's outfit. he has his red pajamas on under his clothes. he is so funny. sometimes you really just need to pick your battles, and getting dressed this morning was definatley a battle i didn't want to fight. i did choose to fight a battle after the easter egg hunt with a mom that was on the playground. she was there not as part of mops but just there playing with her kids. she kept yelling and scolding other people's kids and it was getting really annoying. i tried to hold it together until she said something to mine and actually pushed hayden's arm away as he was reaching for some sand. i completely lost my cool and got into an argument with her right there in the sandbox. in retrospect i probably should have been trying to show her the love of christ and inviting her to MOPS but i just can't stand it when someone else scolds my kids when i am standing right there and when they aren't even doing anything wrong!!! i am the mother and i know when they need to be disciplined.....so that was our easter egg hunt. :) ha ha...

we got some new nightstands this weekend for our bedroom. the boys have been playing in the boxes all week. what better thing than playing in a box with your brothers?
