isaiah.....

isaiah- mom how old are you going to be?

mom- 31

isaiah (to my mom)- nana how old are you?

nana- i'm 56

isaiah- how old is sissy? (my aunt and my mom's sister)

nana- she is 10 years older then me so that makes her 66

isaiah- oh my gosh, she's THAT OLD!! she sure can talk good!!

ha ha ha!! oh isaiah you are so funny:) just to clarify one of my best friends works in a retirement/nursing facilty, i think isaiah was thinking of the patienst there when he was thinking of a 66 year old. kids they are too cute.

something funny.....

a few weeks ago it was tanner's birthday and i wanted to take a picture of him with his cake. so i go "tanner go sit on the counter next to your cake so i can take a picture of you with it"....

the next thing i know i look over and i see smooshie sitting on the counter with some lemonade...he goes "mom, can you take a picture of me and the lemonade?"

ha ha ha!!! smooshie you are too funny!!

hume lake.....

last week we took our annual family trip up to hume lake with the trivison family. our church was up there the same week so we saw a lot of familar faces. we also ran into some old calvary friends who were also on vacation. we enjoyed our week so much. we did a lot of relaxing, eating, hanging out by the lake and pool, and just enjoying being together. all 3 boys were old enough to go to day camp this year so they were gone in the morning from 9-12 and then in the evening from 6:30-8:30. seth and i enjoyed the break and the boys had a blast at day camp. on the last night tanner and isaiah's group had robot night. they dressed up like robots and then went out on to the main lawn and threw water balloons at the high schoolers. it was so awesome. for those of you that have been to hume lake as a high schooler you know that being on the lawn on the last night means you are dressed up and taking pictures with your cabin. then to have a whole bunch of little day campers throw water balloons at you. ha ha.. it was priceless! all in all we had a great time and a great vacation. thanks tony and kristin for inviting us again. we love it :)

happy birthday tanner john!!....

happy birthday to my sweet tanner john. he is such an amazing son and i am so blessed by him daily. i praise God that He gave me such a blessing in Tanner and thought i have the honor and privlege to be his mom. this past year he has grown up so much. he is still our shy one but is slowly coming out of his shell. he LOVES, LOVES, LOVES, to play the wii. he could play lego starwars, and lego indiana jone's for hours.. of course i don't let him, but if i did he would. every morning when he wakes up the first thing he says is "mom, can i play wii?" :). this past year he played soccer and baseball and did great at both. we definatley saw his competitive side come out, which dad ofcourse liked. okay and mom :).he is also an excellent swimmer and artist.he has such a sweet and tender heart and really cares for his friends and family. he LOVES his brother's so much. they really do share a special bond that i pray will last a life time. i love you tanner john and i hope you have a wonderful 6th birthday. happy birthday!

beach day....

on sunday afternoon we headed down to one of our favorite beach spots in socal, 'old man's' in san onofre. the weather was gorgeous and the boys had a blast. we ended up staying for the sunset and roasting marshmallows by the fire.

what if you could fall asleep anywhere?....

the other night i was putting isaiah and tanner to bed. i thought seth was putting hayden to bed. i went in to kiss him good night and this is what i found....

so seth and i started searching the house calling his name. finally we found him here...

what if you were soooo tired you could just fall asleep under an ottoman?

4th of july....

every year S. orange st. has a 4th of july block party. my kids (and seth and i) look forward to it every year. we block off the street and put a huge waterslide in the middle of the street. the kids are pretty much on it from sun up to sun down. we also have a bike parade and a potluck with our friends and neighbors. the boys love being able to ride their bikes in the streets and to eat and drink whatever they want :)this is the one time of year they have this freedom. we love what this block party does for our neighborhood. what a blessing to live on such great block. here our some pics of our fun! you are all welcome to come next year if you missed it :)...
