isaiah swimming...

isaiah started a new sport in april. he had played soccer since he was 5 but decided at the end of last season that he was done with soccer. he had a good friend that was swimming so we thought we would try that out. he loves it and so do we. he is really good and has become extremely strong. so proud of you isaiah!!

tj..

tj finished his year as a wolf in cubscouts. now he is moving on the bear. i love that seth and tj do this together. it is so special and tj loves cubscouts! in 2nd grade each child gets to take home "yot in the pot"

they have him overnight and then write in a journal what they did with their yot.

it is so cute.

tj at open house showing us around his room

i LOVED this.
tj said that i was his hero.
this meant the world to me.
so special

smooshie..

i haven't updated my blog in 5 months so i thought i would re-cap with what we have been up to. first i wanted to start with smooshie since it was a big kinder year for him.

every year in kinder the kids do a "100 day" project. this is smooshie's project. 10 shining stars.

another kinder tradition is the spring parade

the boys have to dress up and wear a hand made tie, and they girls have to dress up and wear a home made bonnet. the boys then have to escort the girls down the stage. it is so cute!

smoosh with mom and dad after the parade

for open house all of the kinder class rooms turn their rooms into the rainforest.

this was our tour guide for the night. he showed us all the different animals in the rainforest and taught about the different levels of the forest. he was very informative :)

in june smoosh was awarded STUDENT OF THE MONTH

he was so excited and we were so proud of him!

our baby graduated from kindergarten. it was a bitter/sweet day for me.

i am so proud of him but sad that he is not going to be home with me anymore.

he is going to be at school all day like his brothers.

nana and papa with the graduate

proud parents

smoosh and mrs. regan.

we love her so much. all 3 boys had her and loved her

we will miss being in her class, thankfully we will still see her around school.

tanner...

"These are three special things about me. First, I'm the middle child in the family. I have a little brother and a big brother their names are Hayden and Isaiah. Also, I'm good at soccer I'm good at half back and forward. Last, I'm very good at board games. I almost win every time. It is very fun. These are three cool things about me."

i found this little gem in tanner's homework folder last week. i LOVED it. with tanner being the quiet one of the bunch i always wonder what is going on in that brain of his. i always talk with him and try to get him to engage in conversation, but that's just not his thing. sometimes when i am putting him to bed at night and no one else is listening he'll open up. i love those moments.

i think the reason i loved his little essay so much is for all that he said about himself. i have always worried about him being the middle child, especially since he is so quiet. we've always made sure to listen when he talks and to to make sure all three boys get our equal attention. my friend gina always used to say that he was born the middle child even before he actually was one. he just has that personality. but i love that he loves that place in our family and that he feels special being there. :)

i also love that he thinks he is good at soccer. he has really blossomed as a soccer player this past year. we are always praising him and letting him know how proud we are of him. but after every game he kind of just has the laid back attitude with a smile on his face. i am proud that he has the confidence in himself.

and ofcourse the board games. seriously, this is the kids love language. he LOVES board games. sadly seth and i aren't really board game people but we've had to put that aside for this little guy. he would seriously play monopoly every night if i let him. yah, monopoly! not a super short game. ha ha. and he does always win, he is so good at the games. it's so cute, cause he gets sooo excited to play. i love it.

tan, we love you and love all these very special things about you :)

christmas...

early christmas with the dilisi's...

with our growing families and busy schedules
it is hard to get everyone
together on christmas day.
so for the past 2 years we have an
early christmas the week before with
my sister and her family.
it was nice and relaxing,
no rushing around.
we went out to dinner and then
came back to our house for presents and dessert. singing 'happy birthday' to jesus :)

holiday parties at school....

i know this post is SUUUPER LATE!!
but,we had an awesome christmas break
and i took a break from all things including blogging :)
on the last day of school before break all
the boys had class parties, and performances.
this is zas and his buddies before their recorder performance.
all the 5th graders played 'jingle bells' on the recorder.
it was actually really great!
smoosh did a book exchange in his class.
he was super excited to get the paul frank monkey book.
he loves that little monkey
smoosh was STAR OF THE WEEK!
this is his poster.
i love it.

smoosh's kinder class singing a few christmas songs

this was tanner's little essay on christmas.
i loved that he talked about baking a cake for jesus' bday.
and i love that made the top of his list.

thanksgiving....

every year for thanksgiving we go to my aunt and uncle's house in tucson arizona.
it is so much fun for all of us! beside thanksgiving we do alot of fun activities. the boys love it!
i am so thankful for this time that we get to spend all together as a family and i love the memories and traditions we are making.
here is our week in pictures.....

I am thankful...

i am thankful
by: tanner beasley
i'm thankful for many things. first, i'm lucky that i have a mom and dad and brothers. my mom and dad take care of me. next, my dog is soft and fluffy. he is very hyper. his name is patton. third, i'm thankful for God because he died for our sins and he gave us food and made the earth. finally, i'm thankful for my friends. they share toys with me and they are nice to me. these are the things that i'm most thankful for.
